This is a lovely condition Lemania manual wind watch made for the Canadian Navy.
Lemania is one of the most recognizable names in vintage watches despite having few models of their own.Established in 1884, the company's expertise was in developing movements, particularly chronographs, for other manufacturers to use in their watches. Lemania has worked for or partnered with most major and iconic watch brands over the course of its life, including developing the base movements for example Omega's legendary Speedmaster !
This is a lovely condition Lemania manual wind watch made for the Canadian Navy.
The steel case has a screw case back with military engraving “C.H.S. 9 1125”.
This indicates that it was for the Canadian Hydrographic Service the “9” indicates it is a chronograph wristwatch and the “1125” is stock number. These watches were issued to either the Canadian army or Canadian submarine crew..
The 38mm steel case is in good condition and has fixed lugs.
The watch houses an excellent condition silver vertical brushed dial with syringe hands, with tritium/zinc sulfide lume and black printed Arabic numerals and 6 and 12.
There are two sub dials , the left one is a running minutes and the right one a running seconds. The watch will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons Single Pass strap and the manual wind movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
