Adam Gorb is best known for his award-winning music for symphonic wind ensemble, and this recording features Towards Nirvana – a reflection on the life and teachings of Buddha – as well as the exuberant Scenes from Bruegel, illuminating the painter's depictions of human folly. The recording is completed with Ascent – inspired by Cezanne's almost Cubist paintings of Mont Sainte-Victoire – and Farewell.
